Bureau for the Adjudication of International Crimes

Bureau for the Adjudication of International Crimes (hereafter: Bureau BIM) is part of the District Court of The Hague and collects and distributes knowledge and information on international crimes for the judiciary in the Netherlands. Bureau BIM is comprised of specialized judges, investigative judges, assistant judges and legal officers that are involved in the adjudication of international crimes in the Netherlands.

Via an internal website Bureau BIM provides Dutch judges and legal staff with case law, developments and information on learning activities in the field of international crimes. Every month, Bureau BIM provides a short lecture on current issues concerning the adjudication of international crimes. In addition, Bureau BIM distributes a newsletter four times a year. The Bureau works according to an annual plan and is accountable in an annual report.
