NCC judgment: COVID-19 conditions do not warrant modifying a EUR 30 million fee

On 29 April 2020, the Court in Summary Proceedings (CSP) of the NCC (Netherlands Commercial Court) denied a EUR 169 million claim made by a New York-based company against a company domiciled in Amsterdam. The alternative claim, for EUR 30 million in cash, was allowed.

COVID-19: NCC is open for business, but restrictions apply

[Updated Februari 2022] The Dutch Government has ordered measures to limit the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Nevertheless, the NCC courthouse is accessible to lawyers and parties if the court orders a courtroom hearing. Some restrictions still apply. In the courthouse special precautions have been taken to minimise COVID-19 risks.
