Prof. Dr. Xandra Kramer



Prof. Dr. Xandra Kramer is a Professor of Private Law at Erasmus School of Law and Professor of Private International Law at Utrecht University. She published numerous articles and books on civil justice and private international law. She is an elected member of the Institute de Droit International and serves on the Council of the European Law Institute.

Prof. Dr. Krzeminski


Prof. Dr. Krzeminski is a partner in the Litigation & Arbitration practice group of NautaDutilh. He specializes in the resolution of complex cross-border disputes and represents his clients in international arbitration, Dutch court litigation and ADR.  Alongside his legal practice, he is Professor of Enforcement and Attachment Law at the University of Amsterdam School of Law. He is admitted to both the Rotterdam Bar (2006) and the New York Bar (2007).

Moderator

The webinar will be moderated by Yvette Borrius. She is one of the founders of the Dutch law firm Florent and co-heads the Dispute Resolution practice. She has over 30 years' experience as practitioner, mostly in high-profile and complex (cross-border) matters. She has a strong advisory and litigation practice focused on liability, corporate governance and corporate litigation, as well as commercial litigation. She is leading individual in Chambers Europe/Global and Who's Who Legal.

Short bios

Cees Bom acted as in-house counsel to various Dutch companies, such as Smit International and DSM for 27 years. In 1994, he was appointed as a judge, sitting in several Courts in the Netherlands by designation, where he dealt with general commercial disputes, with an emphasis on insurance claims and corporate matters. He has been a judge in The Hague District Court since 2009, dealing with a broad range of civil matters. He currently serves as the President of the NCC District Court (effective 1 January 2023).

Duco Oranje joined the Amsterdam Bar in 1985, working in an international law practice including arbitration, insolvency, corporate law and banking law. He acted as an arbitrator in international ICC arbitrations. He has served as a judge in the Amsterdam Court of Appeal since 2010, focusing on commercial matters, mainly corporate and banking. He is the President of the NCC Court of Appeal.
